My Snape Doll arrived yesterday
His hands and feet were bound together with white ribbon and he was barefoot.

As he came from the US, we had to clear him through customs, which my better half did. Her report was favourite: Instead of being confronted with grim German customs officials, she met a very nice young man. They had to open the package, and he whispered: "Oh, he's wearing a hairnet. May I touch his hair?" He seemed to be completely enamoured with Severus.

Barefoot, but wearing a hairnet, oh well ...

His socks and shoes as well as his cloak and wand came in separate sachets. When I dressed him properly yesterday evening, I found that his trousers have a tiny little zipper! And of course I freed him from the hairnet. Some people would like to have that much hair!

He has charisma, this guy, and dominates the sofa in our living room now.

Strange. I never liked to play with dolls when I was a little girl ...

My five cents on the book and its aftermath:

I wish JKR would stop trying to explain and analyse her characters too much in interviews. It just makes everything worse.

On the other hand: Snapefans should stop complaining about what JKR did to him: He is her character. If you don't like what she did in the book, write fanfiction, draw fanart. In your stories you can explore other character traits in Snape you feel she did not develop enough, you can write alternate endings and whatever.
